Challenge

Kovant had a business already running and values already in place, but a brand that looked like every other consultancy in the sector. In an industry built on volume, cold processes, and interchangeable identities, nothing about their image reflected what actually made them different. They needed a brand that could finally carry the weight of what they were already doing.

Solution

We started at the strategy level. A competitive audit revealed a sector full of interchangeable voices, which made the opportunity clear, there was room for a consultancy that stood for something specific. From there we built Kovant's brand platform from the ground up, positioning, values, tone of voice, and a messaging framework speaking to two audiences, the companies looking for the right person, and the candidates looking for the right place. The visual identity followed the same logic, designed to look as precise and human as the work behind it.

Strategy & Verbal

What went deepest was the brand philosophy. Inspired by David K. Reynolds' Constructive Living, we mapped its principles to the way Kovant operates, a foundation built on attention, intention, and follow-through. That philosophy shaped everything that followed, the tone of voice and the full messaging framework, from the brand claim down to the lines written separately for companies and candidates.

Visual Identity

The identity is built around one idea, the right fit. The K is two pieces coming together, the two sides of every process, the company and the person, meeting like parts meant to lock into place, two forms and two colours that only work when both are present. Lowercase and geometric, the mark shifts across a warm palette adapting to each context without losing its form. We delivered the full identity as precise and human as the work behind it.

The human part, finally visible

A strong service that looked like everyone else's. The ambition was to turn what Kovant already did well into a brand with a clear point of view, one capable of standing for something specific in a sector built on volume, cold processes, and interchangeable identities. The result is a precise, human and unmistakably distinct brand, the criteria of the big firms with the involvement only a smaller one can offer, built to measure success not in processes closed but in people who stay.
